Plume's Year 12 Maths Advanced course costs A$500 less per term than Intuition's standard course; Economics costs A$320 less. Classes are capped at eight, compared with Intuition's advertised groups of 8 to 12. Our courses include weekly timed quizzes, a supervised term exam and marking from the tutor who teaches the class.

Fees and subjects

The Extension 1 packages differ. Intuition includes Advanced content in one class. Plume teaches the two courses separately: taking both costs A$1,850 and includes two weekly classes.
Plume charges no new-student administration fee. Intuition also lists no enrolment or administration fee. Both include course materials. Plume's English fee includes one private hour with the class tutor; extra private English lessons cost A$100 an hour. Intuition's standard Maths fee includes two extra tutorials. Platinum costs A$1,750, or A$850 more than Plume's Maths Advanced course, for ten scheduled one-hour tutorials and unlimited extra tutorials. Plume's phone, email and Discord support is not a scheduled tutorial allowance.
Intuition's Economics page does not list the Maths tutorial allowance. Economics support needs confirmation, and its separate Exam Success Program needs its own quote.
Exam practice and marking
Intuition includes marked weekly homework, resubmissions, recordings and simulated exams. Class teachers, support tutors and markers provide help, alongside Intu AI. Intuition weekly courses
At Plume, your class tutor marks your homework and practice answers, explains where marks were lost and works through the corrections with you. Unlimited submissions and lesson recordings are included.
Our teaching concentrates on the work students must do in the exam:
- In English, build an argument, choose textual evidence and answer within the time limit. See our sample essay feedback and discursive writing exercise.
- In Maths, choose a method, show the working and solve unfamiliar questions. Try our Maths Advanced worked questions or Extension 1 practice exam.

English students can study alongside Maths or Economics at Plume's Epping centre. Intuition families needing English would need a second provider.
Trying a class
Plume offers a two-week free trial. If you enrol, both trial weeks are included in your term fees. Choose a class in the booking form and we will confirm your place and first lesson as soon as possible.
Intuition's two-week trial is also payable if you continue. Discontinuing requires seven days' written notice; shorter notice incurs that week's tuition. Its terms provide for refunds of unused service. Intuition trial and refund FAQ
